​​​​​​​HopeVerse is an app designed to help users receive a boost of encouragement and hope through reading Bible verses related to their current situation. The app allows users to do a “verse finder quiz” which makes them answer a series of questions to figure out how they’re feeling. The app then generates a list of verses based on the user’s answers, which is meant to encourage the user and give them hope.

Problems to solve

  • People are busy and struggle to find the time for themselves and struggle to find time to read the Bible. Often, their busy life and daily commitments get in the way.

  • People often feel discouraged and unhappy when they don’t hear encouraging words often.

  • The Bible is huge and can sometimes feel overwhelming because people don’t always know where to find what they’re looking for.

 

Target Audience

  • The target audience for the app includes Christians, anyone who needs encouragement, people with a busy schedule, and people who are stressed, feeling under pressure, busy, and anxious.

  • People with a busy schedule need a way to easily and quickly find Bible verses that relate to their current situation and are tailored to their current personal experiences because hearing uplifting encouragement is important to give them a constant reminder of their purpose, how to live, and to know how much they’re loved, but sometimes finding related passages is difficult as they sometimes are unsure of where to look.

Strategy

  • This app is a quick way for busy people to receive encouragement, it is also very easy to use, as verses are categorized.

  • It is simple, quick and easy to find the words users need to hear, and it allows users to receive verses recommended for them based on their answers to the quiz or based on a series of categories that they choose.

  • The app also uses simple language, minimal options were added so the user doesn’t feel overwhelmed, and all the questions are simple and straightforward.

 

The Solution

The solution is an app that allows users to receive encouragement by offering quizzes, and topics arranged in specific categories. The app also generates a gallery of verses based on the answers to the quiz to inspire users and to give them hope.

The app is quick and easy to use, so it will solve the problem of not having the time to read the Bible to feel encouraged. The app also acts as a way for busy people who are always on the go, to receive a quick daily reminder and to receive uplifting encouragement.
